| A Little About Me |
Ok....I figured I should put up a little something about who I am and what I like, just so others can know a little bit more about me. My name's Mark, I've been married for almost nine years now and have a son who just turned eight.
I graduated from Don Bosco Technical Institute in Rosemead, California and am currently starting to attend Rio Hondo Community College. I work in the IT field, do some programming, do web design, and graphics work on the side and all pretty much self taught.
I like Sci-Fi and Fantasy books, films and art work. I also like to write sci-fi and fantasy stories and also write poetry. I'm also into miniature wargaming, terrain making, painting and sculpting and many other things.
I have been many things through out my life. As they say, "a jack of all trades, master of nothing". But I enjoy it. I like knowing a little about everything and what I don't know I go out and learn more about.
Now, as for how the Syko Ward started out that goes back to my days in RPG's(Role Playing Games). Back in high school my friends and I played a lot of Role Master, a quite popular game at the time. My character was known to be, a little off. I would come up with crazy things for my character to do and almost always succeeded in my dice rolls and completed said insane action. For that, and for convincing a couple of freshman I had been commited to an asylum, before, I got the name Syko. From there I came up with The Syko Ward when I got my first internet account and put up my first webpage. It was really simple, used AOL's web page maker thingy back in 1994. Well, since then, the website and me have evolved and expanded. I now know how to advertise on the web and market my webpage, sort of. I have more traffic now than I ever had in the past because l have learned much more and also never told anyone I even had a webpage back then(do'h!).
Now I am finally ready to make this site grow into something great. I hope you all find me at least somewhat interesting, but, probably not :P. Oh well, can't make everyone happy, though I really try. Hope to hear your thoughts sometime. I'm always up to making new friends on the web.
